Hello,

You can start translating TinyMCE for Plone 4, which will be the default editor, replacing kupu.

You can read the post written by Rob Gietema about the new release of TinyMCE here:

I upgraded PloneTranslation, but the po-files are not there. There is
still a kupu folder.

Can the tinymce files be merged into PloneTranslation? Or will they
stay outside?

Translations are at
http://svn.plone.org/svn/collective/Products.TinyMCE/trunk/Products/TinyMCE/locales/

And I think it will stay outside of PloneTranslation, yes. I don't see a benefit to move the translations to PloneTranslations on collective.
It's on plone repository, so you have to sign up the contributor agreement to commit there.

Up to now all components of Plone were in the central repository
PloneTranslations, so thats why I asked. If translations of core
components are spread elsewhere, there is the risk that translators miss
them.

Yes, that's true and it's my role as i18n translation team leader to let translators know what do they have to translate and where. :-)

I hope I can do a statistics page soon with zope.app.locales, plone.app.locales, Products.TinyMCE and all products in collective, so we have a global view of what is translated.

Hey, it's not on plone repository, it's on collective!
I don't know why I said that, maybe because of svn.plone in the url, I think I was tired when I wrote that. :-)
