I posted some thoughts on math on the XO, partly in response to

GDK started to tackle 4th grade math to help get a sense of what
materials might map onto a matrix of needs/curriculum points:

My comments are at

My main point is that spreadsheets are an extremely useful tool for teaching/learning mathematics, and that there IS a spreadsheet for the XO: SocialCalc. I will try to find the time to post some curriculum.

Others are working on tools for learning to read, from A-B-C
collections to better bookreaders to XO-friendly book versions in
html.  What reading tools do people use in the classroom?  what online
readers?

Have people used audiobooks in their reading courses?  I'm thinking in
particular of librivox works, and feedback for them on what othre
kinds of works would be of interest.
