Dead and gone.  Bert stayed on the show for a very long time.

so if possible... can you pick just one scene... one storyline... one character... one couple... that will always stay in your memory as the ultimate GL moment?

Well now... I just realized that the woman who played Meta Bauer was also the woman I used to watch in Search for Tomorrow back in the '60's... it was at noon so I would run home from grade school and watch it with my mom! but this show did last at least 35 years...

Mary Stuart was her name... and in Search she would sing this song... "green coffee grows on white oak trees... the river flows with brandy-o, I've chosen one to walk with me... as sweet as striped candy-o!"  OMG! I remember!!!!
