1.Take a photo of a favourite person, place or thing.

2. Crop the photo

3. Show the 'before' and 'after' photos.

Ian felt unwell this morning but better in the afternnon so we went out for a drive and found a wonderful tranquil place (called Sugar Mill Ponds) - and swans!! I think that swans are real posers, and so photogenic. I wore myself out physically, but felt so mentally refreshed it was worth it!

I hope that my uploading skills work again today

Well I haven't kept this thread up properly so I'll just add a couple of photos that I've taken on photoshoots recently

I've tried the B & W facility in my camera - I also found the chrome option too. One thing with my course is that it makes me get out of auto mode and start finding out how to use the darn thing properly

The week before we went to Lotherton Hall near Leeds and there's a great little Bird World section so took this (along with loads of others)

I just love taking wildlife photos

I'll bore you with just two more - taken on the way back from York (the B & W photo) at Thorngaby. There's a village duck pond there

Great - another one who enjoys photography

When I can't get out (any day between Monday and Friday) I sometimes take my camera out into the garden and click away. I forget everything when I'm clicking away - I even forget about "'aving a ciggie"    (  still at it  ) I'm doing a course and people are soooo creative - they take photos of things indoors and make them look so good. One guy took a photo of a heap of mint humbugs, another person took one of her embroidery skeins - and both piccies looked so good!

Like you I'm still incognito (is that the right word) on this forum. I hate having my photo taken.

Hey Scribbler, how are you putting your photos on the site these days? I've just tried with my Photobucket site like we used on FFighters 1 but it just puts up all the HTML codes and takes you to my album and I don't really want to let EVERYONE see all my pics that are there!!! lol!!! S'okay, theres no rude ones  My pics are always too large to go on here using the 'insert image' button on the reply page.

Help?

Hi Joo - I go to the 'upload image' bit. The only way that I can describe it working is that it's how you do an attachment when you're adding an attachment to an email. You go to 'pictures' - choose a folder, and then choose the photo you want to upload.

Gosh - I'm no good at techie stuff especially not this early in the morning

Oh good - my tea's cooled down enough for me to 'take a swig' - I'm desperate for it after all that 'brain work'

Joo - you are clever

I've only just started to change photos into black and white using Elements

That top one looks Andy Warhol - esque -  I prefer the swan one  and it looks really 'arty'

It was really easy Scribbler, and as someone who like you thanks to fibro, forgets things so easily, Photobucket couldn't be simpler! And I haven't worked out the black and white thing yet so you're one up there girl!! I was really pleased with the effect and I haven't a clue how I got the seagull pic into four!!! lol!!! So as long as you make a copy to work on and keep your originals on disc, you can try anything and just click 'back' if you don't like it. Thats how I learn!

I can't believe I've missed this thread.
Wow Scribbs your pictures are inspirational.....tranquil, though I think I'd have cropped the NO out and just had the swan fishing.
I don't have a decent camera, or even a half decent one.....the fairies disappeared with mine last yaer.
I look forward to watching this thread.
