F.Y.P.: For Your Protection
This week in the city of Alkesh, Congressman Kent proposed a new bill which, if passed, will allow for more government spending into the area of weapons development. Kent went on to explain that "should the time ever arise when more effective weaponry is required, it is vital to the protection of this government and the way of life that we have the capability to produce such weapons." The bill received a majority vote, and will be up for Senate vote soon into the new year.

Child Murderer Killed in Police Shootout
Law Enforcement officials have finally succeeded in finding Mark Hunter, only to have the situation explode in a shootout which ended with one officer wounded and Hunter killed. Hunter, as you may recall, was the Anthro lion who was charged with the rape and murder of Human child, Molly Griffith, only to run out of the courtroom and go into hiding. One officer says that Hunter had pulled a firearm which was concealed in his pants, and they had no choice but to return fire. The wounded officer is expected to make a full recovery.

Lack of Defense in DOD
The Department of Defense is looking into the attempted hacking into their mainframe this past Qua, and they say they have several promising leads. Lieutenant Price had this to say: "We are now aware that the unauthorized access attempt originated in Lower Alkesh, however we are currently unable to narrow it down further than that. We will continue to press the issue until the culprit is brought to justice." There were no other comments on the matter.

Runners: Alkesh's New Threat?
Government officials released today the stunning discovery of a group of anthros who illegally traffic potentially dangerous information between themselves and possibly Humans. This unmonitored method of information trafficking is considered a possible threat towards the government, and authorities ask for anyone who knows anything about it to step forward and speak up. A reward is available for anyone with information that leads to the Runners.

Surprising Find in Lower Alkesh
Amid the cluttered streets and dilapidated buildings of Lower Alkesh, one can find an interesting little jewel on the intersection of SE 5th ST and SE 143rd AVE. Going by the name of "Murphy's Law", this Anthro-owned shop caters to the swordsman in all of us. Run by Anthro fox Tobias Murphy, the shop creates customized swords made to each customers specifications, but also has a wide variety of pre-made swords and interesting accessories. Even some military officials have dropped by, though their names are, according to Murphy, "highly classified".
