Phool was accepted as a student of Ridley College this year but starts his external study towards GradDip Div with the RTC unit Church History.

Already fascinated by the reminder that "nothing is new under the sun" there are some really interesting things that our brothers and sisters in the Lord experienced through history. Makes some contemporary events seem quite tame really!

Not sure if I could endure martyrdom.

What has struck me already is the opposition to the church by the government of the day

Hi Phil,

Welcome to MASG! I hope you enjoy your study and are built up for a lifetime of serving with the wisdom God gives you through your relationship with Him and through your classes/reading.

I did Early Church History at Ridley last year and was inspired and encouraged by what our predecessor's endured so that the bible, the creeds and other guides could be handed on to the next followers of Jesus.

Like you, I imagine Martyrdom and fear that I would not have the courage of the saints that came before me.

Thanks for your thoughts,

In Christ,

Amy

Hi Phil,

So are you in VIC now or are you studying by distance?
Like Luke and Amy, I have done early church history as part of a grad dip -- and really enjoyed it. I learnt a lot of things which deepened my insight and understanding of our faith. This year I've just started reformation history and am looking forward to more good stuff.

see you round

Still in Kalgoorlie. Not quite sure on God's plan for relocation (if/when). At present we are engaged in ministry and employment here for the foreseeable future.

Part of my ministry is to the local speedway and our great God saw fit to give us enough fine weather to get through the racing scheduled with a tremendous downpour 20 minutes after we finished!
