I want to know what you and Mr. Jindahl have planned to promote The Fair Tax Act to the American public.  The MSM and entrenched liberals in Congress are certainly not telling the American public the truth about the incredible merits of this plan.  I have my own beliefs on why this plan has been languishing in Congress for years - self-serving government bureaucrats feeding in the taxpayers' trough - but, I'd like your views on why this act has not come up for a vote.  I've studied the plan in-depth and in my humble opinion is the only viable road out of this economic gridlock.  I fear that with Obama/Reid/Pelosi holding the country hostage, this plan for economic freedom may never get passed.

I believe the fair tax act would be fought by the CPA lobby.  If we had a simplified tax system, there would be many ancillary tax groups without jobs, perhaps even many of the IRS personnel.

Wow! I knew nothing of this. What would the impact be on tourism? Increased tax revenues no doubt but do you think it would reduce tourism?

Liz, read The Fair Tax Book by N. Boortz & Rep. John Linder.  Then read the follow-up book, Fair Tax, The Truth - Answering the Critics, also by Boortz & Linder.  There would be no more IRS, and as for the CPAs, well they'll always have work auditing books, running financial statements, accounting to shareholders for their corporate clients.
