The Crow: Wicked Prayer

The fourth chapter in the popular action-horror series, 'The Crow: Wicked Prayer' features Edward Furlong taking up the vengeance fuelled gothic mantle.

Furlong plays Jimmy Cuervo, an ex-con who is driven out of a small Southwest town by the suspicious townsfolk. Leaving with his girlfriend Lily, Jimmy is ambushed by the satanic Luc Crash (David Boreanaz, the title character on TV's 'Angel') and his vicious biker gang.

Crash slays both Lily and Jimmy as part of a ritual that will grant him supernatural powers. But little does Crash realise that the Crow, the spirit of revenge that helps the wronged make things right, has resurrected Jimmy, pitting the two in a supernatural battle between good and evil.

Directed by Lance Mungia ('Six String Samurai'), 'The Crow: Wicked Prayer' boasts a strong supporting cast including Tara Reid, Dennis Hopper, and Macy Gray.




Dimension Home Video has provided Superhero Hype! with new art from The Crow: Wicked Prayer, which hits DVD on July 19 and stars Edward Furlong, Tara Reid, David Boreanaz, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Dennis Hopper.

In the fourth installment of "The Crow" series, Luc Crash, the leader of a satanic gang of bikers, murders a young man named Jimmy Cuervo (Furlong) and his girlfriend Lily (Chriqui) for the purpose of a ritual to make Crash an immortal demon. Cuero rises from the dead with the power of The Crow to avenge his girlfriend's death, and to stop the completion of the unholy ritual.

The eerie, supernatural thriller also stars Marcus Chong, Tito Ortiz, Rena Owen, with Danny Trejo and recording artist Macy Gray.

The movie, directed by Lange Mungia, is based on the comic book series and comic strip by James O'Barr. The screenplay was written by Mungia & Jeff Most and Sean Hood. The Crow: Wicked Prayer is rated R for violence and language throughout, and some sexuel and drug content.
