Please consider to upgrade to 6.4.0(RC4).
If it still fails the probability to get a bugfix in >= 6.4 is way higher...

I tried it today on the new wingrass and got the same error, and
hamish opened a ticket last week
<http://trac.osgeo.org/grass/ticket/617> for this error as well. So
still not fixed.
