I have LinguaPlone 2.1.1
A common problem is that you have installed a custom theme which contain bad language chooser viewlet. Also, translated content must be "linked" to another language in translations menus so that the translation engine knows about corresponding language versions.
If I am correct there are two different language choosers
1) Plone standard viewlet which does not change the content language, only UI
2) LinguaPlone viewlet which changes the UI language and redirects to the translated content version
Others may correct me if I am wrong.
