This is a simple sushi recipe. Any suggestions on how to make it better are welcome. I like the way it turns out and it is very easy to make - it is usually ready within an hour. Here is a photo of what my latest sushi looked like.

Ingredients:
5 nori sheets
2 cups sushi rice
2 glasses of water
5 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon salt
1 avocado
1 cucumber
Smoked salmon
Crab rolls
In addition:
Soy sauce and wasabi for dipping
Bamboo mat (the size of the nori)
Wash the rice well until the water become clear. If you have time, put it in water to stay for several hours. Otherwise, put in a pot and cover tightly with a lid. When the water boils, reduce the heat to low and continue to boil for 15 minutes. Uncover and let the water evaporate.
In the meantime, mix the sugar, rice vinegar and salt in a small sauce pan on low to medium heat until the sugar and salt dissolve. Take off the heat and let the mixture cool off for several minutes. Then mix with the rice. Wait for the rice to cool off.
Lightly fry the crab rolls in a pan for several minutes. Peel the vegetables. Cut the cucumber, avocado, crab rolls and the salmon into long straps.
Start putting rice on a nori sheet while pressing it down with a wooden spoon so that it covers the whole sheet. Leave a finger space without rice at the upper end of the nori. Place the cut vegetables and the salmon or crab rolls close to the bottom of the sheet. Put the bamboo mat below the nori and start rolling the sheet with the help of the mat. When the roll is complete, start cutting the rolls with a sharp knife.
Mix the soy sauce with wasabi and start dipping the rolls.
Tips: Regularly wet your fingers in water if rice is too sticky. Wet the knife with water before cutting the rolls.
