Does anyone know if there are any plans on supporting 5.0 SP2 sometime
soon? If not, is it easy to upgrade (by creating a FIX50SP2.xml file)?
Have anyone else done this with success?

I haven't gotten any reply from anyone on this. The only thing I
basically need now is the FIX50SP2.xml file. Does anyone know how this
file is created? I'm guessing it's the FIX Repositoty
(http://www.fixprotocol.org/repository), but I can only find files for
SP1 and SP2 (would have been great to have 5.0 base to diff changes).

Anyone?

Hi, when I went to fix 5.0 that was one of the steps. One of the issues is that the spelling of things isn't always the same and to maintain compatibility you might need to change some things from the repository in terms of case.  I will look around and see if I have any notes from that point.

If I was going to do this, I'd do a diff between the 5.0sp2 repository and the 5.0 repository from fix, and then push the differences into the xml file for quickfixj.  That should get you most if not all of what you want.
