Sunday stroll

It was a lovely morning so we decided to do a 4 mile walk around fields in Darlington. Bob and Brenya soon got the hang of sniffing about





Then there was a silly amount of racing about



And then there was a train... off went Brenya



... Bob trailing in her wake. They did come back (eventually) but they were so tired we had to cut the walk short and head back early.

Reminder to self: check train times before going for a walk

I especially like the last one where Brenya was running from a train! How do you take pictures like that-I'm never in the right place at the right time or have a flipping camera when they do something brilliant! !!!

Thanks Beckey. I just decided that I'd not taken any decent pics of them lately so took the camera with me. Because Jon was with me he could supervise them while I watched proceedings through a viewfinder.

Brenya wasn't running from the train... she did a jumpy bark to challenge it to a race then ran after it. We've had to stop her as when she chases the 125s she goes so fast we lose her and the slow local trains she easily beats.

Bob joined in this morning- he tried to chase a 125 with Brenya.... and he spent the next hour panting, bless him. He's not built for speed.

oh poor Bob, I remember when Emma and Chez, while we were on a walk, saw a fox a few fields away and off they went, they looked like one of the cartoons where you see them disappear over the hills! Eventually they came back, I thought Emma was going to have a heart attack...bless her....but after 15 mins rest off she went again!

You take some fantastic pictures,when i try i end up taking a pic of a bum or two back legs you must have had lots of practice, they look professional

Thanks Sharon but it's more luck than skill some days. It depends on the light and the background more than anything else and it helps that sometimes Bob and Bren go offlead now  so I can use both hands on the camera
