Storage of the "Z" dimension with PostGis

Hi,
Thanks to hibernate-spatial, my application is able to store spatial data in a postgresql/postgis database or in an oracle database.
But I have an issue with postgresql: the third dimension is not stored. For example, if I persist a point with x,y,z coordinates, only x and y coordinates are stored.
Is this the normal behavior?

Thanks for your help.

Hi William,

The third dimension is currently not supported in the Postgis driver
for Hibernate Spatial, but will be in the next release. I already
received a patch from another user to do that.

Do you have an idea on the date of the next release of hibernate spatial?

Thanks,
William
