The Follow up to the smash hit STEP UP is an electrifying tale of bodies, hearts and dreams in motion. Rebellious newcomer Andie (BRIANA EVIGAN) is an outcast street dancer trying to fit in at the elite School of the Arts. Chase (ROBERT HOFFMAN) is the school's red hot talent and a rising star. Both want to win the biggest, baddest street dancing battle, "The Streets", and they might just do it if they team up. As the gifted dancers clash and sizzle, Andie must learn to build a bridge between love and loyalty, between who she is and who she believes she can be. It's time to Step Up.

The title really does say it all here, and the streets are not for amateurs. Now proven to be even more of a hit than its predecessor, this new film introduces us to the butt shaking antics of a hot summer dance floor. You may have survived the first time but are you prepared to take it 2 the Streets?

It’s a once a week thing, your strolling down the road, a crew steps up to you and offers you a dance challenge. Now if your like me, the scarf, the ear muffs and the bowtie come right off and your ready for action… but if your not quite as cool as that you at least have the opportunity to stand back and watch the battle commence.

This movie takes its queue from the streets; so the dance moves, the style, the atmosphere and the sounds all have a strong but rugged edge to them. The soundtrack alone was a success, fusing an amazing collection of r’n’b, Hip Hop and Dance tracks – perfect for getting low and dropping any move you need to embarrass your opponent with.

Firstly, you don’t need to worry too much if you haven’t seen the first movie (although it is worth a watch) because this one doesn’t carry over many details. Andie, played by Briana Evigan, dances with the 410, an underground dance crew. After getting into some trouble, she’s faced with an ultimatum; join the Maryland School of Arts? Or move to Texas with her aunt.

She chooses the school and ends up attracting the attention of Chase (Robert Hoffman), a popular dance major and brother to the school’s uptight and traditional director. After a while her crew, the 410, start to notice that she is spending too much time with the geeks from her class and they decide to kick her out of it.

Andie and Chase then decide to form their own crew, assembling the outcasts of the MSA and training them to battle at “the Streets,” an underground dance competition. But faced with the challenge of the 410 and pressures from school, they find that they may have bitten off more than they can chew.

Despite feeling a little familiar the story does a pretty good job of keeping things flowing. Make no mistake though, the choreography and the dance scenes are the apple of this movies eye. Lush sets, fast moves and popular beats all create just the right vibe for a really cool little film.

If you enjoyed movies like Save The last Dance or Honey or Stomp The Yard then you’ll love every second of this. Enjoy!
