Step 4 Settlement on NLRB Charge –
Threats/Retaliation for requesting a DPS Formal Review

This grievance is related to the July 3, 2008 unfair labor practice (“ULP”)
charge filed by the NRLCA to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
In the second paragraph of the NRLCA’s “Basis of the Charge”, the NRLCA
alleges managers, at several postal facilities in various states, engaged in
threats and acts of retaliation against rural carriers who requested DPS
reviews. On August 15, 2008, the NLRB decided to defer the NRLCA’s
ULP charge to arbitration. As a result, on October 3, 2008, the Association
amended its June 18, 2008 national level grievance to include the charge
relating to threats and retaliation (“Amended Grievance”).

Well good deal for those carriers.  Hopefully arbitration goes well for us on this matter.
