Just a quick status update - as I catch up on incubation matters.
The deegree team has been making great progress - and has a very clear
presentation of their current review status

I have not needed to help the team very much; and have gradually been
taught the correct spelling of the deegree product name. A refreshing
change from products that manage to get capitals in the wrong spot
(uDig); or are so enthusiastic about he capital experience they go for
more then one (ie MapServer).
