We are pleased to announce the statsvn 0.5.0 release!
http://www.statsvn.org StatSVN retrieves information from a Subversion repository and generates various tables and charts describing the project development, e.g. timeline for the lines of code, contribution of each developer etc. The current version of StatSVN generates a static suite of HTML documents containing tables and chart images. StatSVN is open source software, released under the terms of the LGPL, based on StatCVS. StatSVN uses JFreeChart to generate charts. =============================================================================== Changes in this version include: New Features: o Add new report for 12m Rolling Developer report. o Add ability to MERGE 2 users through the config-file user.[userName].replacedBy=[newUserName] o A bit of fun, added links to Twitter. In the statsvn.properties file defining the user, See manual o Charts are now configurable, See manual o Through StatCVS, a few cool Twitter features to either have links to your Twitter profile, widgets or to be able to Tweet some StatSVN stats straight from the StatSVN generated pages. =============================================================================== Issues, bugs, and feature requests for statsvn should be submitted to the following issue tracking system: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=164845 Have fun! -The statsvn development team |

Does this have a SVN version that it works with? Having trouble with SVN 1.6.1 and getting it to think the repository is valid.
Thanks, Ken ken.reynolds@dfas.mil

Hi
We've had this question a few times, I'm not sure what is happening but I know that it is important to be consistent, ie the checked out directory must be checked out with the same version of SVN than the one that StatSVN is using... Question for you.
Could encryption being causing the issue? I have had two or three developers have to check out JAVA code again due to a magic number error from the JAVA complier. When we look up the error via Google it states that the file is corrupted. Once we check out again, apply the changes the compile goes OK. Checked out revision 389. Generating report for into c:\temp1\ Using default CSS file (objectlab-statcvs.css) The repository object is not valid. Please check your settings. Is the log file empty? Do you run from a checked out directory? Do you have non- committed items? I notice that the repository name is blank in line 'Generating report for into c:\temp1\'. I checked the directory listing you sent me. Â
1 - Your svn logfile is not the right size. Mine is 279,815 bytes.  (I ran the command than Benoit posted). I am using svn 1.6.2 on Windows Server 2008.Â
2 - I noticed the whole project, including the branches and tags was checked out. We don't have that here, but I did download everything to test it. Passing either c:\statsvn\ or c:\statsvn\trunk to StatSVN as the checked-out folder did not return the error you are having. Therefore, passing incorrect arguments does not appear to be the issue on your machine. Unfortunately, I am unable to figure out what could be wrong on your machine and/or your usage. I can't give you any more help on this, as I can't figure out the core issue. --- Jason Kealey - [hidden email] LavaBlast Franchise Software - http://www.lavablast.com Simplifying day-to-day franchise operations On Mon, Jun 1, 2009 at 8:45 AM, Kwrdfas <[hidden email]> wrote: Response from STATSVN on STATSVN. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Register Now for Creativity and Technology (CaT), June 3rd, NYC. Back to basic, the svn.log must be similar otherwise we have some problems.
Let's stick to using StatSVN as the project - which jdk? (Java -version) - which svn? (Do a 'svn --version') and let us know - confirm that you have checked out statsvn using that svn on command line I think that we had an option to do a dump of the repo but since it is not parsing the log, it would probably not help. Could you send me the svn.log that you have generated? I'll take it from there Thanks Benoit ------------------------------ IMPORTANT NOTICE This communication contains information that is considered confidential and may also be privileged . Benoit,
I am running a batch now with pulling the log from the URL and it seems to be running. Will let you know. Server SVN version 1.6.1 (r37116) JAVA version "1.6.0_13" Client SVN version 1.6.1 (r37116) Jason saw that the log file for STATSVN was way to small when I ran it from the client working copy. When I run from the URL it self it comes up to the correct size. Jason,
That maybe it. The client side of the SVN does not seem to be creating a valid log file from the working copy for version 1.6.1. Just did a STATSVN on a trunk folder from one of my repositories using the URL as the log source. Result below. I don't get it. C:\>java -jar K:\SHARED\DIVISION_MSD\scm\statsvn.jar c:\trunk\logfile.dat c:\tru nk -output-dir temp1 -cache-dir c:\temp Jun 2, 2009 7:44:35 AM net.sf.statsvn.util.JavaUtilTaskLogger info INFO: StatSVN - SVN statistics generation Parsing SVN log 'c:\trunk\logfile.dat' exclude pattern 'null' Scheduled 0 svn diff calls on 0 threads. Generating report for /trunk into temp1\ Using default CSS file (objectlab-statcvs.css) The repository object is not valid. Please check your settings. Is the log file empty? Do you run from a checked out directory? Do you have non- committed items? I am a bit confused. Â You say that generating the log file from the working copy is not working yet what is below appears to be the same problem as before.Â
This is starting to look like your svn client is not behaving properly, for an unknown reason.
Can you paste the results of "svn info --xml" from your working copy? (Feel free to replace the server name)Â Thanks,

Mine is 279,815 bytes. (I ran the command than Benoit posted). I am using svn 1.6.2 on Windows Server 2008. 2 - I noticed the whole project, including the branches and tags was checked out.
