Spring graduate courses in virtual worlds

The Dept. of Educational Technology at BOISE STATE UNIVERSITY will offer three graduate courses in Second Life during spring 2010 semester (Jan. 21 – May 6).  Registration is now open.

 

• NEW!  EDTECH 597: Teaching Mathematics in Virtual Worlds, requires synchronous meetings in Second Life, Thursdays, 3-5 PM PT. Dr. Randall Holmes (graduate course, 3 credits) Syllabus

• EDTECH 532: Educational Games and Simulations, requires synchronous meetings in Second Life. Thursdays, 5-6:30 pm PT. Dr. David Gibson & Chris Haskell (graduate course, 3 credits) Syllabus


• EDTECH 531: Teaching and Learning in Virtual Worlds, requires synchronous meetings in Second Life Wednesdays, 3-5 pm PT. Ann Jeffery (graduate course, 3 credits) Syllabus

 

Requires attendance at synchronous sessions on EDTECH Island in Second Life, and access to Moodle between class sessions.  To learn more about our courses on EDTECH island and get registration information, see http://edtechisland.wetpaint.com/    Class tuition is $1,044 regardless of your location.
