Sound on avi files

To any one that can help

I am new to using torrents and the like and have downloaded several avi files that appear to not have sound.

The downloaded files do have an avi file and an .nfo file.

Is there sound with these files or am I missing something here?

Hi mate you don't have the codex for the file you must get codex for those files..lol
there are free on some web sites

CCCP or K-Lite. VLC player will also play any video format.
