When I record from my cassette player to the PC. The sound is not clear on some of the cassettes.
For example the music on some is loud and the voice is low and disstorted. I have tried adjusting the microphone levels and it does not do anything. Any suggestions would help. The Cassettes are stereo and I have stereo selected to record. I am recording in 32 bit.

I would try buy a fasttrack interface there cheap on ebay instead of recording it on a mic plug it right to the tape player

You don't necessarily need an interface, you can use the built in sound device on the motherboard if it has a line-in: just buy an appropriate cable to connect tape player and computer. But make sure you have up-to-date drivers for the sound device. See:
