Some news about our threads

Anyone can start a new thread.  If you start that thread, you are basically responsible for what goes on.  MLM usually starts the "daily show discussion" thread and Rew usually starts the "Bad Moon Rising" thread.  However, sometimes people are on different schedules and are not around when  a new thread needs to be started.  We know from experience that there can only be 1000 posts per thread.  If the count goes over that, it will crash with no warning.  We also know that if there are a lot of pictures within a thread and we get up past 30 pages, sometimes it starts to run slow.  I don't ever want this board to be like the old CBS board where only certain people can start certain threads.   Sure it's a courtesy, but if a thread is not acting properly and the person who usually starts it is not around, then a new one should be started by anyone who wants to start it.  

Also, we have a spammer who once a week starts a thread about DVD's and some google phone.  I have banned he/she under 5 different names and have removed the threads from the forum.  Rew, Bus, MLM and myself have the authority to ban and remove.  So if you see an inappropriate post or a solicitation thread, please report it to one of us so that it can be removed.  

Spoiler threads should be clearly marked "SPOILERS".

Sounds good KS! Is there anyway to find out if someone has already posted a thread about the same or similar topic?  this way we don't have multiple threads about the same thing.  sorry if this is answered else where.

Good question, but no there really isn't.  I don't mean that people can't start new theads whenever they want.  We just need to be careful with spoilers and long term, existing threads.

yes.... K.S.  we don't want to eliminate anyone's creativity! We have some great new threads that have been spawned from the wild child minds of our posters and are accepted and become very popular!... so please don't think that you can't start a new thread..... but just realize that there are some wacky things with this board regarding the number of pages etc.
and of course, we all know what a drag it is someone tells us the ending of a movie or book before we have gotten a chance to see/read it... so its only fair that we keep the spoilers in one place... or at least please please please put the heading "spoiler" in the title of your thread!

You guys are great! You are always so positive and upbeat and we never have to worry about trolls and bullies here.... its a great place and we thank you for making it so!!!!

Thanks Rew! As an example.  Rew was out of town and her Bad Moon Rising thread went totally haywire.  So I started the new thread for her with "Rew's Badmoon Rising- Part 3".  That's what I'm talking about.
