As you can see in the screenshots above, the dynamically generated sIFR headlines (which is Flash for those of you not familiar with sIFR) shows through my shadowbox layer.

Any ideas on how I can prevent this from happening?

Thanks in advance!

Mike Metcalf

p.s. This is only occurring on PC-based browsers: firefox, IE, and Chrome all manifested the issue. No problems found on Mac-based browsers.

I've given this some more thought since posting this morning...

Would a reasonable solution be to stick an iframe that spans 100% of the width of the window, and place it somewhere on the z-axis somewhere between the shadowbox and the base layer?

- Can anyone think of an easier way?

- Has anyone ever run into a similar problem with a flash element poking through the shadowbox?

Any help would be much appreciated. I've got a deadline coming up this week, so I'd love to nail this down as soon as possible.

Thanks,

Mike

I assume setting sWmode to opaque does not work?

Check the sifr documentation - that's all I did.

Hello Mike,
Did you solve this problem with sIFR and shadowbox in PC browsers?

Changing the wmode for sifr did not solve the problem for me. Are there any other solutions for this?
