All,
I have written my own ossimPlanetKmlLayer::execute() and ossimPlanetKmlLayer::xmlExecute() to facilitate placement of kml files into the planet. I did this so that I could have an icon move across the planet and be controlled by an outside application that sends xml. The outside application moves the icon by continually removing the kml from the planet, updating its lat/lon coordinates, and re-inserting it into the planet. This works quite well except there is a very noticeable flicker when a kml is added (which happens when my version of ossimPlanetKmlLayer::xmlExecute() calls ossimPlanetKmlLayer::addKml()). Is there any way to get rid of this flicker or is it a "feature" of Open Scene Graph that I'll have to live with?
Thanks.
Chuck
