Savannah Black is Graduating!

Hello to all my Loved Ones!

Savannah just IM’d me from home, she has completed her last High School Class and is all set to Graduate on Wednesday 5/20/09!  I don’t think a Mom could be more proud of her child than I am of Savannah.  She has grown up so easily and gracefully that I am spoiled and have no idea why some Parents have such a hard time (but don’t hate me too much for that… I have recently resumed full custody of Sabastian and he is 15 now and a handful *grins*)  We live on the East side of Indianapolis and share a house with a roommate so we are not going to have an open house but will more likely choose a park and pack a picnic and celebrate the way that we love.  If you would like to send her cards of congrats or words of wisdom and “Real Life” advice please feel free to do so.  Our home address is 7909 E 35th St, Indianapolis  IN  46226.  

Savannah plans to take the summer off and is contemplating the decision to join the National Guard’s division of the Air Force.  She would like to study Child Psychology and Forensics and the Military has assured her they would be happy to fund her education… *blinks*

They say it takes a village to raise a child and each and every one of you are part of her village… Thank you so much.

That's cool.  So, now she can work during the summer and make some money, or at least some change to help pay the Internet fees and her membership to Our Haven and attend some of the festivals under her own steam.  

There's still a FEW little nickel and dime jobs within walking distance of the last that won't give a living wage, but enough to give her some money so she can learn how to manage money before having to get out there in the "real" world (I had that problem and learned the hard way.  :)  Coffee shops, stocking shelves, flipping burgers all can give her some good experience.

Give my congrats to her and to you!  Way to go, Mom!

We here are happy for You both.
I cant say i remember my High School Graduation..but I remember Our class was huge around 400 ..the passing of the paper was a long night..

Starr...wow I feel like my little sister is all grown up.I am so glad that Chris and I and Caeden are a part of you alls lives. I am proud of her but that just doesn't do it justice...She will spread her wings and fly and you know that she will always return to the nest when she needs love and nurturing..
We are proud of her and happy for her. We are here for you both.
