On Christmas Eve, three young guys meet two gorgeous girls who invite them to spend the weekend in the country. They arrive and meet the maniacally grinning housekeeper Joseph (Vincent Cassel, La Haine, Irreversible). That evening, what begins innocently as Christmas dinner turns into disturbing conversations about sex, satanic possession and evil. As the weekend progresses, Joseph's behaviour only gets more erratic and the young friends realise their host has made a demonic pact, and all hell is about to break loose.

Following in the footsteps of The Ordeal and Switchblade Romance, this demented excursion into the unsettling world of one of modern horror's most twisted families is a truly unforgettable experience.

Night clubbing youths find themselves in bizarre circumstances when they find themselves the guests of a mysterious shepherd character and his many secrets.

Three clubbing youths are picked up by the lovely Eve (Roxane Mesquida) and spend Christmas in the countryside at her home, a rambling former doll hospital, in this bizarre French horror comedy. The yellow-grinning, moustachioed host (an unrecognisable Vincent Cassel) makes wildly inappropriate remarks and has a mysterious pregnant wife stashed somewhere.

There’s creepiness with broken dolls and puppet plays, but eventually it gets down to knockabout violence and a strange nativity. Ramping up the discomfort factor with racial abuse, rural loons, all-over-the-place sexuality and moments of grue, this is uncomfortable, but entertaining.

Entertaining and genuinely creepy at times this boasts strong performances from its French cast.

This movie is awesome. It has blended the genres of comedy and horror magnificently. The cast which includes Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel adds a bonus factor, besides the superb plot. It is a dark movie interspersed with doses of humour depicting explicitly, the satanic rituals.

This one differs from the other luciferesque movies in the sense that it is not very graphic nor does it hinge too much on the elaborate ceremonies, symbols and ambience associated with the fallen angel that is deployed in other movies with the satanic theme.

An extremely refreshing movie. Excellent DVD print copy from KLAXXON. Way to go Klaxxy boy!
Death be not proud, though some have called thee mighty and dreadful, thou art not so.
