Hi,

I'm using Coherence 0.6.4 on Debian testing with my new Samsung TV. Things are working quite well. I can watch my mp4 video files on the TV. I can even watch youtube videos...

BUT I have a very annoying problem. Few minutes after starting to play a video, the Samsung TV says it disconnects from DLNA server and just cancels the playback. I happens all the time but if I restart the video there is no error anymore. I tried other DLNA servers (from Samsung running on Windows, I tried ushare also) and I don't have this problem. I looked at the log file (at debug level) and didn't see anything about the disconnect.

Another  problem I found is TV isn't able to display images (jpg) using Picasa backend. It can browse the Picasa album but doesn't know how to display the picture. I suppose there is a mime type issue here.

I saw in svn that it was an existing branch about Samsung device so I suppose developers know this device quite well. I'm not 100% sure that the disconnection problem is a Coherence bug but I'm ready to provide any information and support in order to solve this issue. But for now I don't really know where to look at.

Can you describe your network setting? Sometimes the poor network connection is the major reason of disconnection.

Hi,

I have a similar problem with my own coherence backend.
Whenever I start a video after a few minutes/seconds the video stops. (I use a XBOX 360 as client)
I wanted to investigate this problem and commit my backend to the svn repository when the problem is solved, but I had some personal things to do.
Maybe I find some time next week and maybe your problems are related.
