Samhain Campout

Curious who all is planning to go to this event? Depending on things Im hoping to go to this one and will of course volunteer to play with the main fire.

I plan on being there, of course.

We are planning on a pot-luck dinner on Saturday so bring something for a group that can be re/heated over a fire or doesn't require much to prepare.  

And, depending on the crowd we expect, I will see if the kitchen can be open, or maybe leaving it closed.  I'll talk to Michele to see what can be cooked up or how many people she needs to open the kitchen.  I don't mind cooking things for breakfast if I have enough warning.

I would also like to invite anyone, if they are inclined, to perform or lead a Samhain ritual.  Contact me if you would like to lead the ritual.

Clear it and bring them!  We would love to have you.  I am looking for
a good relaxing and a time for unplugging between festivals and work.

I am not sure how many folks are registered online yet, or if there
are people who will register at the gate.  I am considering asking the
kitchen not to open and I don't mind cooking things at my camp site
for donations but need to be notified how many people to bring
supplies and cook for.

We are going to have a pot-luck dinner on Saturday.  Someone is
smoking a turkey.  I will make cobbler and maybe another dish and
folks are welcome to bring a dish or something to share.

I am looking forward to a calm, relaxing and fun weekend.

Bill you don't need to worry the kitchen will not be open that weekend. We will actually be out of the house Sat night as we have plans in town.

You guys as well. I am bring Tess down with me. Some of you met her at October Gathering. I am not bringing Caeden. One its gonna be too cold and two..I seriously need an adult weekend of relaxation. I am looking forward to playing with the fire, Joe juice, seeing old friends and making new ones. Bill I will talk to you off site but I may ask you and a few others to help with a ritual I need to do to clear the air on some things. I so need this weekend. Ill see what I can bring down for food..Give me an idea of what you want for the potluck..its either gotta be something you help me cook or a non cook item.

Of course, bring what you want and I am sure that someone will be able to assist you cooking or not cooking.  I have not heard from Joe or his Fire Clan, yet.  You may be the fire tender for the weekend.  I am sure I can help you out.

For Saturday evening:
Tim from Enchanted Hourglass is planning on smoking a turkey.
I am planning on making a cobbler and maybe something else.

The kitchen will be closed for the weekend.  The Castle Clan up the hill will be in and out for the weekend and we are not planning a huge turnout.  I can also plan on cooking some things over grills and fires during the weekend for donations.  I just need to know how many I will be cooking for.  Breakfast and lunch and another breakfast will be fine to make down there.

I am not sure what else everyone else is bringing.  Yeah, I'll bring mead.

My intentions for the weekend will be to unplug, start over and bring in the pagan new year.  Maybe hit the reset button for everyone.  It's been a rough year for a lot of people and I am sure that many will be glad it's over.

Here's playing for good weather.  The weather forecast calls for partly to mostly sunny, Lows in the 40's and highs in the 60's.

There will be quite a few Fire Tenders there. We are having a fire tender meeting on Saturday...so the antics should be quite fun!
