The character Brüno is a British created mockumentary comedy film due for release in July 2009. It is produced by and stars the London born Sacha Baron Cohen as Bruno. This film is the third based character from his popular shows from the UK, following Ali G Indahouse and Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
The long awaited Brüno movie was initially rated NC-17 by the MPAA for sexual content. Since then the movie has been re-classified to the adult R rating after Universal Pictures edited certain scenes.
The film plot takes Bruno and his show to America while interacting with several characters he meets.
