It might be very tricky because WKB doesn’t support Z/M
(that is, the format doesn’t contain a ‘dimensionality’ field
and XY is always assumed). This is the format the provider is using for
input/output.
I guess when MS says that SqlServer supports Z/M data that means
it supports WKT representation which we cannot use because of performance
issues.
Related to your error: I don’t think it is related to Z/M data
because in such case you should you see an FDO exception “unsupported
geometry type”.

Does anyone have any idea how
hard it would be to implement? I haven’t looked, but could perhaps
get the time approved to do it.

Hi,
By looking at the capabilities I see that currently Z/M are not
supported. I believe that initially MS SqlServer did not support these
types.
Dan.

Anyone? Still wondering if
Z/M values are supported by the provider…

This could be related to z/m
values.
Does the SQL Spatial provider
support Z or M?

Can anyone tell me what this error would mean?
