Some javascript/style in this post has been disabled (why?)
Has anyone else had a chance to review the fix for CLOB /
long text fields in the SDE provider? I’d like to verify the SDE insert
problem on someone else’s setup and nominate that it be included in
3.4.0. It is on the ArcSDE_CLOB branch in the sandbox.

All, I’ve been caught up on other
projects, and have not been looking at this for a while. I’d like to try and
finish up / get things working. At this point, I believe that it
works, with the exception of SDE/Oracle, although I don’t remember the error. I’m planning on taking the
following steps: 1)
Merging the 3.4 tag
into the ArcSDE_CLOB branch so that any work done on the ArcSDE_CLOB branch
will be usable with the 3.4.0 release (in other words, I’m just getting all of
the 3.4 changes moved into the branch this is on) 2)
Trying to debug the (last
known) problem a.
Is there anyone out
there that might be able to help with this? I remember just hitting a wall
last time 3)
Packaging for some
sort of release (?) a.
Ideally, it would be
nice to get this into a 3.4.0 patch b.
This should also be
merged (once we feel it is ready) to trunk for inclusion in the next release. Thoughts from anyone on this?
