I am happy to see that I can now switch between English, Chinese, and Russian in SCIM. However, the two input options I have for Russian seem to be the same, and neither are the standard. Standard Russian input is "Typewriter" under the Xubuntu gui menu. Yawerty and translit are both for people who are learning Russian, but for some reason don't want to learn the standard layout. I guess they are dead sure they will never visit a former Soviet country. Instead of "Yawerty" the standard layout reads across the top: "ytsookyen." That's йцукен. I hope the package will be upgraded to reflect this.
