I'm really peed off today, I bought a lovely glass cabinet for my shop to display my jewellery, my boss rang me today and asked who had given me permission to get it when I said I had paid for it myself, he said he thinks I will have to take it out as its tempered glass and not toughened what a big fat pillock, My job its getting really hard at the moment he's a new boss only ever ran a pub he's making it quite difficult, but I don't think I would be able to afford to leave as that would be my holidays gone for a Burton, does anyone know how much I should get if I'm retired sick not able to do my job anymore as next time I'm off sick with my Fibro I have to go through Occupational health.

Hi Wendy, he sounds a right arse!!!  Bet he's barely out of nappies either!!  I'm not sure exactly how much incapacity is but it's around the £70 mark, you apply for it with a Drs sick note & have to send in new sick notes when old one expires or they stop your money, after about a year you then have to fill in a med 4 form (I think that's the one,but you will be told), your GP has to fill some of it in too & then they decide whether you need to be seen by a DWP Dr or not.  Hope this helps & don't let him grind you down

Thanks Netty it is a big help, and no he isn't  just out of nappies he's over 60, he used to be Assistant Manager at one of our other shops, he had run a pub before this, Ive actually put the cabinet up and filled it with odds and sods, as I have taken all my jewellery out (In a fit of temper) and it looks lovely.

  Is he STILL going on about that bloody cabinet??? I'm sure if you remind him just exactly how much money you've personally raised in the last year with your jewellery alone, he might buy a new, even bigger,  cabinet with toughened glass so you could make even more!!

Thanks all Ive calmed down a bit now, his assistant was with me today (she's quite a nice girl) I told her to tell him that he had really hurt my feelings makes more of a statement than I am cross. plus I still have the cabinet up and got another one donated so he can shove it up his nose!!!!!
