How do you feel about the current laws regarding on street parking? Shouldn't you be able to park in front of your own home overnight?

I own my house why cant I park in front of it.  This is rediculous. The parking tickets alone are like a rent payment.  This city should care about its Residents not just those that visit it.

Chris,

You are right on with this one.

I moved here 11 years ago and have never understood this policy. I spent the night at my girlfriends house one night. Woke up the next morning and found a ticket on my windshield.

On another occasion, I even notified the police that I was going to be parking on a particular street. I still got another ticket.

Absolutely Unacceptable

Chris & Joe: I just read about this situation in "Divine Providence" Magazine. Thanks for the '411', KITTY KENNEDY!

I don't get this at all. NO OVERNIGHT PARKING? D'ya think the parking garage entrepreneurs have a hand in this situation?

I believe residents of the state should definitely get a window sticker of some sort so that if need be we can park on the streets legally. There are very limited spaces for parking in most apartment buildings I've been to.
