Cornwall College will be running an initial teacher training programme using Second Life, moodle and a range of applications such as Skype and the college's in house media streaming server to deliver content. Second Life-based sessions will be delivered on Cornwall College Island, but I am also looking at other sims that students can use for research and a basis for field trips. The course will be starting in February 2010 and we are currently looking for willing volunteers to make up our inaugaral cohort. I'll be emailing an invitiation to the SLED list in the next day or so with further details, but if you want to chat about what we're planning, please feel free to contact me.
