Hi all,
People are waiting for a mac release. Several people tried without
success to build musescore on macosx. Finally gathering pieces and
with the help of other users, Joachim managed to build it after <a
href="
http://n2.nabble.com/build-for-mac-os-x-td1499960.html">a long
work</a>. Despite the tremendous effort of Joachim to release an
<href="
http://www.musescore.org/en/node/1453">alpha version</a>, we
have no movement for several months. Joachim had done a very good work
and he is busy as far as I know. According to him, 80% of the job is
done!
We need more eye balls to get a mac release soon, and it will be great
to have a mac version for 1.0.
For a year or so, I'm working on the musescore project. I translated
it to French included the documentation. Now JLWaltener is keeping on
the job.
I try to provide (not too unstable) windows prereleases on regular
basis and I got my feet wet with Qt development in order to help on
the plugin framework and solve some bugs.
I also documented the windows build process and try to make it more
easy with the help of David and other users to attract new developers.
I'm willing to help having a mac version asap but I don't own a mac.
I'm looking for a second hand mac mini or macbook, preferably with an
Intel processor (Compilation is very CPU intensive)
This Mac will be used first for having a stable build and then to
provide regular prereleases.
So if you want to support the development effort, send me a mac, or
find or propose a good deal.
