Hi all,

Just a reminder that the paper submission deadline is in 1.5 weeks on
Sunday, 2 August. As you are aware, Kiwi PyCon is a community run event
so we rely heavily on the community to support the event by presenting
talks/tutorials/etc on the day. So please consider helping us out by
giving a presentation at Kiwi PyCon 2009! More detail available here[1].

Thanks in advance,
Your NZPUG Kiwi PyCon Committee

Well, I *think* I submitted a talk. The Django 500 error didn't exactly say ;-)

Let me know if you didn't get it or anything...

Hi Shaun,

Sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately the form allows long entries, but
the backend system expects something for certain fields that is shorter than N
characters.

The system is being fixed right now by us, but in the meantime you can submit
by shortening your title and keywords. I think those were the most common
places people were having trouble with.

I have checked, and your submission did not make it to the system. So just
start shortening until it works (I know, it's annoying ... :-/).

Hope that helps,

Guy

If there's a Django 500 error you wouldn't have been able to :( The
specific error is related to either the length of the talk title or the
length of the 'other' intended audience. If you shorten either/both of
these it'll submit ok. Then you can go back in and change the
title/other intended audience after. Marek (the web site dev) was
hopefully going to deploy a fix yesterday but in the meantime please try
these 2 approaches.

Thanks again for your talk submission!
