This is probably a wxWidgets foible. It may be dependent on OS and if the
default font is being anti-aliased.

Of course it does. It's just using the same TimeTextCtrl class, as it
should. I suggest you look at the TimeTextCtrl code and see if you can
figure out whether the problem is there or in wxWidgets classes it uses.
