Good comments
I grabbed the agenda (and modified it) from another chapter on the wiki
as a way to throw darts on the board. This would give us a running start
to the chapter.
As no presentations have yet been arranged for the first meeting, we
could dispense with them and use the hour to define our charter. A start
could be the review of the existing wiki article.
As for the committee work across locations, we could probably set up an
additional two rooms with conference call links between the locations
during the break out portion...then reconvening in the video rooms at
the end.

There is already a proposed agenda for the
November 15th meeting, and it looks like it
has already been modified once(on the wiki).
1)
Should this first meeting have a 'real' agenda
(perhaps developed in advance on this mailing
list?), or should it be a true "initial meeting"
where people meet face to face, establish goals
and directions, and out of that arises the agenda
for subsequent meetings?
2)
Will the video conferencing facilities accommodate
multiple committees, if the committee members are
spread across both Victoria and Vancouver(i.e. are
there multiple video links, from multiple rooms)?
