Hi Monika,
find these sentences in *-fr.po files in PloneTranslation Product and
change them. Restart Zope. That's all.

If nothing append :
- check using good locale in browser (fr, fr-fr...)
- check errors in Zope log files

Please don't !

You can follow plone internationalization guideline:
http://plone.org/development/teams/i18n/existing-translations

In short terms:

copy *-fr.po into xxx-fr-ca.po in the PloneTranslations/i18n product::

  for file in `find . -name "*-fr.po"`;
    do echo `basename $file .po`-ca.po ;
  done

Then mofify each po file header :

"Language-Code: fr-ca\n"
"Language-Name: French_Canadian\n

and remove:

"X-Is-Fallback-For: fr-be fr-ca fr-lu fr-mc fr-ch fr-fr\n"

You can also copy PloneTranslations/locales/fr

fr-ca
