The warning is arguably overstated and does put an un-necessarily large
proportion of Windows users off using the Beta. We've already written
a less strong warning and will put it up when the next Beta appears
(hopefully that will be the last 1.3.x Beta before the new stable 1.4).
Even if you don't save projects regularly, the Beta's crash recovery
rescues lost projects OK most of the time.

i've had really bad luck with the betas, Gale...even when they work, if i try to re-open any project i've done with them there's orphaned files and general problems.
to me, 1.2.4 is still the most stable build, at least on my machine.

Hi Jimi

Are you on Windows or Mac? The Beta is probably less reliable on Mac,
but you are right you can get warnings about project integrity, which
is only because the Beta makes these checks where the stable version
doesn't. Earlier Betas did not support opening projects created in
1.2.x and before at all well, but if you try 1.3.4 you should find it
has much less of a problem opening older projects.

1.2.6 is the current stable and it ought to be worth upgrading to that
(though some people stick with 1.2.4 as if I recall the MP3 tag editor
always comes up in that version but only comes up once in 1.2.6).
It now comes up all the time in 1.3.4.
