PS:  Neither the vacant or the aux had matrix subs, none, of course the aux did not, but strangely, the other vacant did not, had nothing concrete to use other than seniority.  Our schedule has always been very "fairly" distributed as much as possible once primary assingments and matrix has been followed, the leftovers get divvied up.  Subs have emough to be stressed about without the schedule looking uneven.

There are 3 routes and 1 Aux in our office. 2 routes went from K to H and 1 remained a K. I was once told that if my route dropped, they would take from the Aux to build me back. Now my PM is told that is not the policy in  the Cleveland (Youngstown) district. We must "divide up the whole Aux route or none of it."  If we ever get DPS I guess we'll have to divide it up. Looks like I'm to remain a 43H.

I was under the impression that they automatically build back routes when they dropped, I was wrong. They are only planning to build back the SUBSTANDARD routes in this office.  All the routes that dropped but still remained a legit route may or may not recieve new territory, probably not, because of the number of substandard routes and the territory available.  If there were no vacant routes in our office, we would be SOL come October.  Please correct me if I am wrong, I have done a lot of research, and my eyes are crossing!!  This affects me directly, my route is substandard, I just dropped $4000, and will lose another $2000 in October if they do not bring me up to 40 hours.

the aux must be at least 2.5 hours to remain. And no one route need not absorb the whole aux...it can be split amoung many as they are doing in our office.
