Hi Restlet,
For those in Chicago next Thursday, you are welcome to come to a free
talk I will be giving about REST and the RESTful open-source platform,
Prudence, which relies on Restlet.
The talk is jointly organized by the Association for Computing Machinery
(ACM) and Loyola University. For more information:
http://www.chicagoacm.org/Prudence is an evolution of the platform previously known as
"Restoration." I changed the name in order to avoid confusion with
backup software and historical religious movements. :) And, also to
signify a more energetic push to make the platform more competitive and
useful. In particular, it is available in flavors -- Python, Ruby,
JavaScript, PHP, Groovy -- each highly tuned to the culture of each
language. Part of the effort involves more active participation in
various language implementation projects, such as Jython and JRuby. For
example, in this talk I will be using Python, with SQLAlchemy handling
the backend.
Prudence has been closely following Restlet 2.0 development, and is
always up-to-date with Subversion snapshots.
