RCA Merit Award
YOUR NAME SUPERsub

ISSUES SUBS/RCAS

YOUR IDEA OR CHANGE RCA merit reward...something ANYTHING for being good at your job

WHY DO YOU WANT TO CHANGE IT There is nothing to distinguish between RCAS now except seniority. We all know there are good subs and bad subs. I think there needs to be something to reward efficieny and work ethic among them.
Never doubt that a small, group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has..

I couldn't agree more.  Sub's need something to let them know they are doing a great job, because management and the regulars all to often only make a comment to a sub if they have do something wrong.  It is very discouraging to sub's especially new ones.  Besides they should have goals to be efficient and safe rather than who got back first.

I agree whole heartedly on this one.  I was pushed to the limit a few years ago with other more senior subs not wanting to work and I was putting off or flat out missing things because I got called in.  I complained loud and long about how I always came in when I was called and others did not.  PM recognized me for going above and beyond the call of duty after a safety talk, made me feel good to be authenticated but the same crap still went on.

I so agree with you!  In our office we do for the most part have a great crew!  And subs often get shuffled under the rug.  Even blamed for things that we did not do.  I work with an rca who does a great job but complains the whole time!  When she is asked to help cover another route on top of her own, she leaves so much for who ever covers the next day instead of doing a super well done job.  Then crys when she has to work and when she is not.  (Can not have it both ways.  We work or we do not) I am a rca and I try not to leave anything for the sub, let alone a rugular, to do the following day.  The mail count was a joke.  Yet, I do agree the volume has decreased by more then half, but it still is not rugulated like the management says that it is.  One day I get back at 1:00 pm and the next at 4:00 pm.  (Probably because there was leftover mail from day before). lets not forget all the mistakes that accure when we rush.  So, therefore, it should not matter what time we get back but how we did it should matter the most. Just burns me when they call her a supersub, because maybe it seems she needs it more then getting constructive critisizum!  I would rather be respected then patronized.  If that was the case.

Now this one idea I could agree with.
