Hey guess what? I have the most sympathetic, sweet, accomodating consultant Rheumie. She's really great but when I asked her if she believed there was a condition called Fibromyalgia, she very diplomatically said,in very flowery language like " I believe that there are a lot of people who have similar problems" What hope have we if the people we depend upon to care for us don't believe the problem exists.
So what do we have?
I should be grateful that she cares about the pain if nothing else.
I'll see her again next year to discuss how I am coping with this thing that doesn't exist.
