I have one and I havent had any problems with it... But, I only have 7000 miles on it..
There are a couple of things I dont like about it..
first of all, there is nothing to hold the tailgate open, so it constantly
closes while you are messing with the mail... There is an aftermark
item that I bought, but it should be something basic... Something
to keep the tailgate from hitting you in the butt everytime you reach
in the back...
2nd, the only way to lock the tailgate is with the key... While this is not
really a biggie, it can be a pain when you have your hands full of trays and stuff..
While some may love the "tire pressure" alert... I hate it... When the weather changes
and one of your tires loses a pound of air, the crazy things starts dinging and wont
stop until more air is put in..
Not crazy about the Freedom Top that came on it.. It is all fiberglass and seems to
leak a little when it rains since it is not one piece... It is 3 separate pieces... Also,
it leaves no place to attach a magnetic light... We had to drill a metal plate on top
to attach my safety light..
As far as having an mechanical problems, I havent had any at all. We did just have to
replace the front brake pads at 7000 miles.. But thats about it so far...
