Problems with "featureinfo" funcionality on deegree iGeoPortal Portlet Edition

Hi,

I've downloaded de iGeoPortal Portlet Edition from the svn
repositories, and I can configure this to show my layers served on
MapServer, but I have a problem when I try to get info from the
features, I mean, when I use the button "i" to make a getfeatureinfo
request. I don't know if it's problem of MapServer configuration, or
it's a bug from the Portlet Edition. The viewer simply doesn't do
anything, but the strange thing is that the request works fine with
WMS services served on deegree.

Thanks for your support,

Best wishes,

Hi,

this sounds like a bug or a wrong configuration in MapServer. According
to OGC WMS spec and test suite a WMS must be able to return GML 2 as
result to GetFeatureInfo requests. Unfortunately several servers does not.
As long a as WMS returns XML you have the chance to register a XSL to
create the HTML you like. This must be done by editing one of the
parameter 'pathToXLST' of the iGeoPortal:FeatureInfoPortlet (which
references the default XSLT) or add a new one for yor WMS. To enable
specific HMLT creation for different WMS it is possible to have a own
XSLT for each WMS. For this you must add a parameter to the portlet named:
pathToXLST;$URL of a WMS$;OGC:WMS
where the value is a reference to a XSLT script. The parameter $URL to
my WMS$ must be replaced by the real URL of your WMS; e.g.:
pathToXLST;http://127.0.0.1:8082/deegreewms/wms;OGC:WMS

best regards

ANDREAS
