I'm playing with the idea of having myself cloned--figuring it's the closest thing to immortality I'll see in this lifetime, and a bit of an improvement on the alternative--evolution's procreation (which I've neglected to do). I'm confident in that it's my choice to decide for my clone to be cloned (I volunteer myself). To be clear, I would have myself cloned before this version of me expires so I could ensure I enjoy a reasonable childhood, get to know us, and inherit our material wealth, what wisdom I can impart, etc. You see, it's not for this body to say my clone is not me. It's for my second life body to decide if it is me--or more precisely, my future self.
Anyway, fun with that. Lot's of not so distant implications to consider, and some with the potential to irrevocably fracture civilization as we know it. A useful exercise.
