You want High Pass to attenuate bass (that and Low Pass are in the Effect Menu underneath the divider). Or use Effect > Equalization for more flexibility for example you could alter the midrange as well at the same time.

Both 1.2.6 and 1.3.5 have High Pass, Low Pass and Equalization, if you download from us at: http://audacity.sourceforge.net

Equalization is above the divider in the Effect Menu, High Pass and Low Pass are below the divider:

Thank you for your answer.
It's the problem. I have do that.
But on my Mac (Intel) with Tiger inside, I have only Normalise, Noise removal, Fade in, Fade out and two other but I don't know how translat : in french Tronquer le silence, Nivelleur. Its the last version of Audacity (1.3.5) all are in the plungs-ins document. I don't understand why ?
I have all in the 1.2.6.

Egalisation (Equalization) will do what you want - that must be in the Effet menu. Highpass.ny and lowpass.ny should be in your Plug-Ins folder in the folder you installed Audacity into.

You should install Audacity thus:

* Inside your Applications folder, create a folder called "Audacity".
* Double-click the downloaded .dmg to mount it
* Option-drag the whole of the .dmg contents (not the .dmg itself)
into the "Audacity" folder you created
* Double-click Audacity.app inside the Applications folder to launch it

If you cannot see high pass and low pass underneath the divider in the Effet menu, I suggest you drag the entire folder you have Audacity installed in to Trash, and reinstall it.

And it will be better for you to use the French Forum if you still have problems.
