#1335: Navigational elements of the new design totally out of focus

 The new design gives a fresh new look to plone.org, but it lacks much of
 the usability of the old site.
 For example the navigational elements (esp. when looking at the homepage)
 are totally out of the focus of the user.
 When you come to the site, your eyes are caught by the "What is Plone?"
 box and distracted from the upper tabs.
 So you actually do not even see them. When you get further down, you get
 to the footer with "The Plone® Content Management System is copyright ©
 2000–2009 the Plone Foundation and friends." and instantly stop reading.
 Who would expect anything but an imprint link below?
 So actually. About 90% of the site do not catch your attention this way.
 You see a whole bunch of marketing stuff... and go away.
 If you are lucky, you catch the search field and via that see the upper
 portal tabs... or find via search what you are looking for.

 Suggestion(s):
 - move the portal tabs and the search BELOW the plone Logo and
 - move the navigation ABOVE the copyright information
 - Maybe tweak some colors and graphical elements around those things to
 get them the right (not too much, not to little) amount of attention.

Changes (by limi):

  * status:  new => closed
  * resolution:  => wontfix

Comment:

 There will be some adjustments coming soon ("Home" replaced with logo,
 etc), but the general approach/navigation/design stays.
